"I was surprised and happy to see that Clare and Chelsea have combined forces to make music together at what will be not only an extremely high level, but in a medium that has the potential to bring new audiences to classical music. Chelsea and Clare have the capability to break down the boundaries that our art form has unconsciously set up. Their sound is pristine and they have a portfolio of very intelligent arrangements. And more importantly, they have the stage presence and charisma to sell their musical gifts. I experienced them at the very beginning and found myself thinking about the extraordinary potential they have in the world of music."

OUR NAME

The duo’s name draws inspiration from the artistic collective of the 1920s, Les Six, a group of six French composers working in Montparnasse. The avant-garde simplicity of Les Six's music is often seen as a reaction against the heavy romantic style of Richard Wagner and the lush impressionism of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. Clare and Chelsea like to think of their partnership as an artistic collective of their own – turning fun and casual time together into music and art.
